Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been seized by of Health authorities throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A man was talked to by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is crucial that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be harmful.

"These kinds of products being offered, usually online, have gone through no quality control and there can be no assurance about their security.

"You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More significantly, you do not know the result drugs like this may have on your health."
